As a beachfront section it had been the subject of an erosion report several years ago. Also because of the threat of climate change, any new structure in this location would have to be capable of being relocated.
The problem was solved with elegant simplicity. The architect specified a series separate pavilions that look a little like shipping containers but contain numerous sophisticated touches. The interior is elegantly simple, practical and hard wearing. Painted plywood walls provide a down-to-earth ambience and the no-fuss design meant the workmanship and finishing had to be of the highest standard. Needless to say, that’s what was delivered.
